Sign a document

Sign a document you received through fynk, with a simple, advanced or qualified signature.

Signing takes a minute and works on a computer, tablet or phone. You don't need a fynk account.

Sign

  1. Open the email Go to document and sign and click the button.

  2. Click the yellow Click to sign field with your name.

  3. Add your signature: draw it, click Type signature to type your name, or upload an image of your signature.

  4. If there are several signature fields for you, sign each of them. You can reuse the same signature.

  5. Confirm. Depending on the signature type the sender chose, there's one more step:

Simple (SES)Nothing. Your signature is saved right away.
Advanced (AES)Enter your mobile number, click Send verification code, and enter the code you receive by SMS or WhatsApp. In some countries you can confirm with your national eID instead, for example BankID or MitID.
Qualified (QES)Choose your country and a signature method from the list, for example ZealiD, D-Trust, ID Austria or Swisscom Mobile ID. You're forwarded to the provider to verify your identity, then return to fynk.

When everyone has signed, you receive the signed PDF by email.

Your signature field is empty or grey

  • Signing hasn't started yet. The sender is still preparing the document. You'll get the Go to document and sign email when it's ready.

  • It isn't your turn yet. The sender set a signing order. The order is shown at the top of the document. You'll get an email when it's your turn.

Good to know

  • If the wrong person is listed as signatory, or someone is missing, tell the sender in a comment. The sender can change the signatories.

  • There's no button to decline. If you don't want to sign, tell the sender in a comment or contact them directly.

  • For qualified signatures, some providers ask you to register first, for example with an app and your ID. This takes a few minutes the first time. Some providers charge for this verification; fynk doesn't.

  • You can't change the document text once signing has started.

  • If you're also a collaborator on the document, you still get a separate signing invitation email when signing starts.

  • After signing, you return to the browser tab you came from. fynk can't redirect you to another website.

  • There's no fynk app. fynk runs in the browser on any device.

The page doesn't load properly? Open the link in a private (incognito) browser window, or try another browser.
