You've received a document through fynk

Someone sent you a document via fynk. Here's what fynk is, what you can do and why you don't need an account.

A company that uses fynk has invited you to review or sign a document. fynk is the contract software they use. You don't need a fynk account, and it costs you nothing.

What the email means

You'll receive one of two emails from fynk on behalf of the sender:

The email names the person and company who sent it. If you don't recognise them, don't open the link and check with the sender directly.

When you open the document

If the sender only entered your email address, fynk first asks you for a few details, for example your name and your company's name and address. These details appear in the contract. If the sender already entered your details, you go straight to the document.

If your party is an individual, fynk also asks whether you'll be the person who signs.

What you can do

Depending on how the sender invited you, you can:

  • Read the document and download it as a PDF.

  • Comment in the document discussion and, if the sender allows it, propose changes to the text. See Review, comment and propose changes.

  • Fill in fields the sender has left for you, such as your company details.

  • Add a colleague who also needs to sign for your company.

  • Mention other people involved in the document in your comments.

  • Change your party's details, if the sender allows it.

Good to know

  • Your access link is personal. Don't forward the email; ask the sender to invite a colleague instead, or add them yourself in the document.

  • Links in signing emails expire after 48 hours for security. You can request a new link with one click. Links to review a document are valid for 3 months. See My link expired or my code doesn't arrive.

  • fynk processes your data on behalf of the sender, who is responsible for the document and its content. For questions about the contract itself, contact the sender, for example in the document discussion.

  • fynk support can't change, sign or cancel documents on the sender's behalf.
