When you're working on a contract and need a quick answer, such as "What's the notice period?" or "Who bears the liability?", ask the AI Assistant without leaving the document.

Ask about the current document

  1. Open the document.
  2. Click the ✨ icon in the bottom-right corner.
  3. Ask your question, for example What happens in an event of default?
  4. The answer refers to the relevant passages, so you can check them in the document. [CHECK: references still shown?]

The assistant knows which document you have open, so you don't need to name it.

Useful questions

  • Summarise this contract in five bullet points.
  • What are the termination rights of each party?
  • Is there an automatic renewal, and what's the notice period?
  • Which obligations do we have under this contract?
  • Explain the liability clause in simple terms.

Good to know

  • Since August 2026, document chat is part of the AI Assistant. The separate chat icon in the document was removed.
  • The answer is based on the document's text. For scanned documents, the quality of the scan matters.
