AI in fynk: what it does and how your data is handled

An overview of the AI features in fynk, from analysis and search to the assistant and playbooks, and how your data is protected.

AI is built into fynk wherever it saves you time: it reads your contracts, finds what you're looking for, answers questions and checks documents against your rules. This article gives you an overview and explains what happens with your data.

How your data is handled

  • No training on your data. Your documents and prompts aren't used to train AI models. [CHECK: wording approved by legal]
  • Processed in the EU. fynk is hosted in the EU, and AI processing runs on EU-based infrastructure. See Data processing locations and subprocessors.
  • Access stays the same. The AI only uses documents and information the user is allowed to see. It can't access documents from other accounts.
  • You stay in control. AI results are suggestions. Values from the AI analysis are only saved when you confirm them (or when you turn on automatic apply), and the assistant asks before making changes.

AI credits

Some AI features use AI credits. Each plan includes a monthly allowance per user, and you can buy top-ups. When credits run out, results you already have stay, and all non-AI features keep working. See AI credits: allowance, top-ups and usage.

Good to know

  • AI can make mistakes. Check important values, especially dates and amounts, before you rely on them.
  • The AI works with the text of your documents. Poor scans give poorer results.
  • The AI analysis always runs when you upload documents, and you can't turn it off. You can only choose whether its results are applied automatically, with Auto-apply AI analysis by default in Account Settings → Document workflow.
  • The language of AI summaries follows your account's document language. [CHECK]
