Subscribe to a live calendar feed of contract dates and tasks in Outlook, Google Calendar or Apple Calendar, or download a one-off .ics file.

Bring contract deadlines and tasks into the calendar you already use. A live feed stays up to date as dates change in fynk. A one-off download gives you a snapshot.

Available on all plans

What a feed can include

FeedIncludes
Contract key datesStart, end, renewal, notice and expiration dates
TasksTasks linked to your documents
BothKey dates and tasks

Each feed is based on a dashboard and uses its filters. A feed from a dashboard that only shows your team's documents only contains those documents' dates. When you change the dashboard's filters, the feed changes too.

Create a feed

  1. Open the dashboard whose dates you want.

  2. In the calendar widget, click Add to your calendar.

  3. Check the dashboard and choose Contract key dates, Tasks or Both.

  4. Click Create link.

  5. Click the chain icon to open the feed in your default calendar app. Or copy the link and add it manually (see below).

To download a one-off snapshot instead, choose the .ics download. It won't update. [CHECK: label]

Add the feed manually

You only need to do this if the calendar you want isn't your default calendar app.

Outlook: add it in Outlook on the web. It then also shows up in the Outlook desktop app.

  1. Open Outlook on the web and go to Calendar.

  2. Click Add calendar → Subscribe from web.

  3. Paste the feed link, give the calendar a name and click Import.

Google Calendar:

  1. Open Google Calendar in your browser.

  2. Next to Other calendars, click + and choose From URL.

  3. Paste the feed link and click Add calendar.

Apple Calendar:

  1. Go to File → New Calendar Subscription.

  2. Paste the feed link and click Subscribe.

  3. Choose how often to refresh, then save.

Other calendar apps that support iCalendar subscriptions should work too, but we haven't tested them.

Manage your feeds

Go to User settings → My calendar feeds to copy, open or delete your feeds.

Good to know

  • Your calendar app decides how often it refreshes the feed. Google Calendar can take several hours; Apple Calendar lets you choose. Changes in fynk may not appear straight away.

  • Feeds respect your access rights. If you lose access to the dashboard or its documents, for example because your role or team changes, the feed stops showing those dates.

  • Treat the feed link like a password. Anyone with the link can see the dates in it. You or an admin can revoke it at any time.

  • When you create a feed, the current dashboard is preselected. You can choose a different dashboard before you click Create link.

  • Apple Calendar can refresh the feed as often as every 5 minutes.

  • A feed stops working if its dashboard is deleted or your user is removed.
