Data processing locations and subprocessors

Where fynk stores and processes your data, which subprocessors are involved and who to contact about data protection.

fynk is a European company and processes your data in the European Economic Area (EEA). For your data, fynk acts as processor. Processing for which fynk is the controller is covered in the privacy policy.

Available on all plans

Where your data is stored

  • fynk's data centres are in the EEA (Germany and Sweden).
  • Your contract content is stored with AWS in Germany.
  • Encrypted backups are stored in another location within the EEA. For security reasons, fynk doesn't disclose the backup location.

Who can access it

  • fynk staff in Vienna can access systems when needed to help you, for example in a support case.
  • Some tools for support and analytics are provided by US companies. Cloudflare is only used for the fynk website, not for the app. When you visit the website, browser data such as your IP address and user agent may be sent to the USA.
  • In rare cases, data can reach the USA, for example through a support request, error logging or a temporary server issue. Transfers outside the EEA only happen with a valid transfer mechanism under Art. 44 ff. GDPR. Details are in the DPA.

The full, current list of subprocessors is at fynk.com/en/legal/terms/subprocessors/. fynk has a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR with every subprocessor.
